Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa has criticised Opposition leader Raila Odinga, after he attacked him, over politics.
According to Raila, Wamalwa and his Devolution counterpart Mwangi Kiunjuri have been unlawfuly enganging in politics, defending the Jubilee administrtaion.
Raila said the current Constitution does not allow any CS to engage in politics, contrary to what the two were doing.
"The Opposition leader said he would sack us if he gets into power because we engage in politics. The law allows us to defend our government, which we do. Especially me and my friend Kiunjuri,'' said Wamalwa.
He added: "I think that's why he will not win. Jubilee government will once again be in power come August 8. We engage in constructive politics, to address issues our people go through. Our brother Raila should let us do our work.''
The former Justice Minister further urged Raila to concentrate on matters of development, and stop attacking president Uhuru Kenyatta's administration, for no reason.
Wamalwa was speaking during the funeral service of Uhuru's sister, Margaret Wambui Kenyatta at St Andrews Church, Saturday. Also present was Kiunjuri, Deputy president William Ruto among others.
