Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya joined hundreds of Christians for a prayer service at Irenji Parish Isukha West ward, Shinyalu sub county.
Accompanied by the Cabinet Secretary for Devolution Eugene Wamalwa, Oparanya reached out to all the 14 legislators of Kakamega county to work together for the benefit of the residents. Wamalwa had congratulatory remarks for the projects Oparanya initiated and assured him of his support.
The two later inspected the ongoing preparations for the 5th Annual Devolution Conference at Kakamega School which kicks-off on April 23rd-27th.
They expressed optimism that the County will successfully host the event that will bring together all the 47 governors, national government representatives, both houses of parliament, development partners, representatives of independent commissions and the civil society, among thousands of other stakeholders.
Other leaders who were present include the Deputy Governor Prof. Philip Kutima, Senator Cleophas Malala, County MP Elsie Muhanda, Area M.P. Kizito Mugalia and CEC Member for Public Service and Administration, Dr. Beatrice Sabana.
