Water CS Eugene Wamalwa has cautioned politicians against disrespecting and directing contempt against the process for the reconstitution of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Speaking in Teso North on Saturday after he inspected a multi-billion dam project, the CS said that the matter was sensitive and so required a cautious approach so as to compose a better and credible team.
"We as leaders need to act with restraint and a lot of sobriety on this matter. This matter needs a lot of patience for us to have a credible team in place," he said.
He pointed out that time was running out on the reconstitution process and that leaders therefore needed to engage each other for the benefit of the country.
"We want to have a bipartisan conversation that will see us have a credible team in place with the little time that we have," he said.
The dam project is funded by the government of Korea in collaboration with the African Finance Development Bank.
