Discoloured teeth could soon be a thing in the past for Naivasha residents after Water and Irrigation CS Eugene Wamalwa launched a deflourisation plant in the area Tuesday.
Speaking on the sidelines of the plant at Mirera Primary School which was part of the World Water Day celebrations held at the institution, Wamalwa said the government had heard the plight of the residents and decided to construct the plant to address the situation.
According to reports by the ministry, water in Naivasha and its environs contains a lot of flouride which is responsible for discolouring teeth.
Wamalwa also commissioned roof water harvesting and hand washing for pupils in the school whom he said had limited access to water.
The CS was accompanied by Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua his deputy Joseph Ruto among a host of other county leaders.
