Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary, Eugene Wamalwa, has asked residents of Western Kenya to remain firmly in the Jubilee regime if they want to witness developments.
Speaking during the 14th anniversary of the late former vice president Kijana Wamalwa in Kitale Wednesday, the former Saboti legislator said the duo of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto mean well for the progress of the nation and should be supported to ensure their development agenda is attained.
"The president and his deputy mean well for this country, they really want to see this country progress economically and peacefully. My brothers let's remain in Jubilee for the sake if development," he said.
Wamalwa added that he was not ashamed to be the only Luhyah politician currently working under the Jubilee government and instead asked other leaders from the region to also embrace the ruling coalition.
In the August 8 polls, the region overwhelmingly voted for the opposition coalition Nasa although their Jubilee rivals also hived off a fairer chunk of the votes especially in Bungoma county where they also secured four parliamentary seats.
