Kiambu senator Kimani Wamatangi wants the government to deploy security to Utheri wa Lari farm as tension continues rising over ownership of land in the area.
Speaking on Monday morning, Wamatangi said massive security should be deployed to ease tension as land dispute between two communities is turning bloody. This is after two people were killed five days ago.
"I urge the Interior CS and IG Joseph Boinett to deploy enough security in the farm to prevent more deaths and control the situation,” said Wamatangi.
The senator also said the leaders of Utheri wa Lari land buying company be provided with personal security.
"I also call for Utheri wa Lari land buying company leaders protection as they are targeted by the other group," he said.
The farm has been in dispute for decades but last year the court ruled that Utheri wa Lari land buying company is the legal owner of the farm.
The owners have seen repeated attacks in the 22,000 acres farm as they prepare the land for the rainy season.
