The senator wants all politicians across Kenya to seize debating 2022 and focus on service delivery to the people who elected them.

Writing on his Facebook page on Saturday evening Wamatangi stated that 2022 succession politics is detering many politicians from the push to deliver services to the people of Kenya.

He said that all that energy should be 'preserved' to a later date.

"My fellow politicians its high time to end 2022 politics across the divide especially these succession which are adding no value to Kenyans all over the country. Shelve this to a later date. We now need development and unity in our country," he said.

On Thursday during senate debate session Wamatangi said that most Kenyans are yearning for services and that it is wrong for elected leaders to spend time in meetings debating 2022 politics.

This has been as a result of Uhuru-Raila meeting with some claiming that it could be a 2022 deal.

Nevertheless Kimani has said that the country might not realize any development if politicians continue engaging in political debates.
