Wamatangi said a uniform kitty will ensure all wards across the county develop.

“A uniform project kitty will ensure equal funds are allocated to each ward for the MCAs to initiate development projects in their areas of administration and for accountability purposes,” Wamatangi said.

The senator said he will not sleep on his oversight role in the county.

“I will be at the footsteps of the county leadership for each decision they make in terms of money allocation to each ward to ensure no single cent is wasted by the ward representatives for their personal gains."

He added: "Constituents should be on high alert to raise alarm whenever the MCAs misuses money meant for development."

Wamatangi was speaking on Sunday after attending the Senate Committee on Public Accounts and Investments in Mombasa.
