A Jubilee MP has vowed to ensure Chief Justice David Maraga is removed from his position after he nullified Jubilee’s president Uhuru Kenyatta in last year’s polls.
Nyeri town MP Francis Wambugu on Thursday said he will follow up a petition he filed to remove CJ Maraga.
"It is the right time to remove CJ Maraga after he proved be bias in last year’s election. I will push for his removal so that we can have someone who will serve as the CJ and be a neutral person,” he said.
The lawmaker said he will mobilize Jubilee MPs to push for the pro-NASA CJ.
”We have numbers in the National assembly and once a vote of no confidence will be tabled before the House, Jubilee MPs will support the motion to send Maraga home,” he noted.
He accused the Judiciary for ruling in favor of NASA since last year’s election.
The MP was speaking in Nyeri town on Thursday.
