Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu has now requested Chief Justice David Maraga to protect him days after he filed a petition with the Judicial Service Commission(JSC) seeking his oust.
The first time MP said the backlash that arose after he filed the petition is strong coming from both the Kisii community, NASA leadership and President Uhuru Kenyatta, hence he has sought for Maraga to defend him from the heat.
"In, April the CJ told off President Uhuru Kenyatta for suggesting that the Kisii's were in government because the Chief Justice is one of their sons. Maraga was furious at having his position made into a political community issue," he said.
"I am really hoping the CJ will come out publicly and defend me from those people saying my petition against him was an attack on the Kisii community," he added.
Wambugu's 14-paged petition that was dropped on Friday last week claimed that Maraga had begun a 'judicial coup.'
