According to Wa Muchomba, Uhuru and Raila’s last week gesture that saw them meet and decide to unite the country is laudable.

Speaking to journalists in Kiambaa Town on Tuesday, the radio personality-cum-politician, hailed the two leaders, saying that their action went beyond political interests and ethnicity.

“Last week meeting between the president and the former prime minister is laudable because it opened a new chapter in the country’s politics,” she said.

Wamuchomba indicated that politics is not a matter of life and death, saying that unity of Kenyans is what should matter most.

She asked the president and the former prime minister to move with speed and unite all  communities while spearheading institutional reforms that will guard against divisive politics moving forward.

“We know Kenyans were sharply divided by last year’s election but the good thing is that our leaders have seen sense in bringing the communities together,” she added.

The Kiambu women rep also joined politicians asking President Kenyatta to offer Raila Odinga a job.

Wa Muchomba said that as part of national healing and inclusivity, the ODM leader alongside his colleagues in the National Super Alliance should be given roles in the Jubilee government.
