The lawmaker who is also ODM Director of Elections said no aspirant will be allowed to decamp from the party after the nominations have been done.

"The party will not allow any member to defect. So, whoever is not comfortable, better jump the ship before we hold nominations," Wandayi was quoted by the Star as saying on Monday.

Wandayi's call comes amid claims that the party is planning to give some candidates direct nominations, something that has not gone on well with the rest of the members who demand a level playing ground.

Some have even threatened to decamp to other parties if nominations will not be fair.

Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba and his Funyula counterpart Paul Otuoma quit their party positions in July for allegedly being undermined by some ODM party members.
