Speaking on Radio Citizen's 'Debe La Citizen' on Sunday, the National Super Alliance (NASA) member confirmed that there are no such plans, noting that the leader is fully occupied with the ongoing national healing campaign.

She accused the media of propagating the misleading and baseless claims, adding that Odinga's quarters will not hesitate to personally communicate to the nation should a different decision be arrived at.

''Our leader Raila Odinga is not interested in the 2022 elections as things stand now. He has dedicated all his time and effort to the national cohesion initiative,'' she said.

''The media should not mislead Kenyans over the issue and let it be handled the former Prime Minister's quarters. We have always communicated to the nation on each of our political moves and the same will repeat itself should a similar decision be made,'' added Wanga.

Similar claims have also been made by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, who, during a prayer service in the county on Sunday, said that the leader is hiding behind his recent truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta, hence his recent series of handshakes with former rivals.
