Homa Bay Women Representative Gladys Wanga has yet against challenged Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders to work in harmony to push for registration of more voters in the party’s strongholds.
Wanga also cautioned aspirants against turning against each other in public adding that the incidents would sabotage Raila Odinga’s 2017 presidential bid.
The outspoken MP bashed leaders who were only interested in capturing their seats, saying that the party needed to increase its numbers.
“ODM has more supporters than any party but we haven’t done enough to register our people. It is our prime responsibility and as leaders, we must take charge,” she said during a voter registration exercise at Kendu Bay.
“We do not have to fight over leadership because it taints our party leader negatively. We have few months to elections which we should use to ensure we have registered more people,” she added.
Wanga’s message comes barely a day after ODM Leader Raila Odinga warned leaders from Nyanza region against engaging in public fights.
