The governor of Bungoma has fired a shot at headteachers transferred to the county, saying sternly that they are not welcome to schools in Bungoma.''This is not about tribalism as some people are making it out to be. What we are interested in as a county is ensuring that people who head our schools are people who have the capability to manage our schools.,'' a fiery Wangamati said today in Bungoma.
Wangamati insisted that the county would not accept teachers from poorly performing schools during with a meeting with education stakeholders in the countyThis comes in the wake of reforms instituted by the Ministry of Education.The transfers have been met with a lot of resistance from political leaders and education stakeholders.
