Businessman Jimi WanjiWanjigi has come out to explain why authorities raided his homes on Monday and Tuesday.

This is after his homes in Malindi and Nairobi were raided and a number of weapons recovered.

On Tuesday,  he moved to court where he obtained orders barring police from arresting him.

Through his lawyer, Wanjigi said the whole scenario was motivated by politics.

"The raid has been concocted to embarrass and falsely accuse me and is meant to settle political scores," he says through lawyer Jackson Awele.

In his suit, Wanjigi said that the DPP, through his officers without a court warrant, entered his Muthaiga home on account of a suspected criminal offence committed in his property in Malindi.

Wanjigi also said that he has been trailed for the last three months by officers,  something he said has subjected him to mental torture.
