Business mogul Jimmy Wanjigi has condemned police actions in his Runda home in Nairobi, hours after a night siege in which opposition leader Raila Odinga was also affected.
Under unclear circumstances, Wanjigi’s home and Westlands Kwacha offices were ransacked by the police despite the court order restraining the police from damaging his property.
And during the Wednesday’s Press Conference, Wanjigi accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of wich- hunt adding that he helped in the formation of Jubilee government in 2013.
“I am yet to know why they came all the way to intimidate me but I am happy that Raila Odinga came and has helped overcome.
“This is not a strange home and they have come here several times {Uluru and William Ruto}. In fact, their government was formed here,” said Wanjigi.
He further stated that he will continue supporting Odinga despite pressure and alleged witch hunt by the Jubilee government over his stand.
Prior to 2013 elections, Wanjigi is believed to have midwifed the union between Uhuru and Ruto, a move that helped Uhuru clinch victory. The two have since parted for unknown reasons.
Throughout Tuesday night, Senator James Orengo claimed, police besieged Wanjigi’s home even with a valid court order.
