Former Starehe Member of Parliament Bishop Margaret Wanjiru has maintained that she should  be the running mate of Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant, Mike Mbuvi Sonko.

According to Wanjiru, she has the much-needed experience in politics as well as in matters of mobilization to enable Jubilee party to clinch the seat in August from Dr Evans Kidero.

"If it is about money, we already have enough for a serious campaign. He should also consider gender, church, grassroots networking and mobilisation ability. I think I will add value to his government, both technically and politically,”said Wanjiru.

Wanjiru further called on  Nairobi gubernatorial hopeful that it would be a mistake if he was going to ditch the members of "Team Nairobi" that was opposed to Peter Kenneth.

“Team Nairobi should stick together in order to deliver Nairobi. I believe Sonko’s victory can largely be attributed to the teamwork we exhibited during our familiarization campaigns with voters,” said Wanjiru.
