A new study has revealed that regular users of Cannabis Sativa popularly known as bhang have more sex than non-users.
Despite the fact that previous studies pointed out that the abuse of drugs reduces male sperm count and causes erectile dysfunction, the new research conducted among over 50,000 people aged 25-45 proved that the use of bhang enabled them have sex more than non-users.
The study at Stanford University in the US found that women who had not used cannabis in the last year had sex on average six times a month. But that rose to 7.1 times for those who smoked it daily.
"Frequent marijuana use doesn’t seem to impair sexual motivation or performance. If anything, it’s associated with increased coital frequency," said study leader Dr Andrew Sun.
The study further states that cannabis enables one to have more activity in the right nucleus accumbens whenever they view erotic images hence turning the motivation into action leading to more sexual activity.
