Victor Wanyama and his elder brother MacDonald Mariga are the most eligible bachelor’s in Kenya.
The two famous footballers caused a stir on social media when they talked about marriage in a recent interview on Citizen TV.
Jeff Koinange did a huge favour to the thirsty Nairobi femme fatals who would give an arm and a leg just to spend some time with the millionaire brothers.
Mariga responded to Jeff’s question about marriage by saying said his football career comes first before marriage when Jeff Koinange asked him whether he will be exchanging vows soon.
Mariga currently plays for a second-tier Spanish club Real Oviedo.
“I think that is a difficult question. For me, I decided that career comes first and marriage follows later on," he said.
Wanyama, on the other hand, added; “I am of the opinion that when the right time comes, everything will fall into place.”
The brothers drove to Jeff’s show in a Sh25 million customized van. Numerous media reports claim that the siblings each pocket a whopping Sh1 million per week.
Their modesty would not let them admit that they rake in that much, but instead admitted that ‘the money is good enough for myself and the family’.
“I do not know how much it is, the money is just wired to the bank account,” Wanyama said jokingly.
Mariga revealed that he used his first pay cheque to buy his mother a house. Though he mentions that his first salary was not good enough, he had to sacrifice and give his mother what she had always desired.
“When I used to play for Sweden the money was not that good but with the first salary, I bought my mum a house. She was pressuring me to buy her one,” he said.
The midfielder is known to have a fetish for cars and a fleet of luxurious ones are in his possession. At the same time, Wanyama, a Tottenham Hotspur player, used his earning to buy a piece of land where he built his own house.
