This is after Kenya lost1-2 to Sierra Leone in their opening Group F game in Freetown on Saturday.

“In football we learn new things each day and there are lessons we take from the game. The qualifiers have just began and everyone should rally behind the team.

“We wanted to start with a win but it didn’t happen; the fans should know that we share their disappointment and now we have to go to the remaining matches seeking nothing but wins,” he said.

The skipper’s sentiments were shared by China based forward Michael Olunga.

“We didn’t take our chances and that cost us. We’ll work to improve for the betterment of the team,” said the striker, who scored the team’s consolation goal.
