Harambee Stars and Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama has hailed his manager at the English Premier League side, Mauricio Pochettino.
According to Wanyama, the Argentine tactician has been vital in his football career.
Pochettino signed Wanyama for Southampton from Scottish side Celtic and when the coach moved to Spurs, he signed the Kenyan international from St. Mary’s a testament to the duo’s great working relationship.
In an interview, Wanyama hailed Poch terming him a father figure.
He added that he enjoys working under the Argentine tactician.
"He has improved me a lot, not just as a player but also as a person. He is more of a father figure to me. I have matured under him and I love working under him. I am looking forward to next season," he said.
Wanyama will be looking forward to a better 2018/2019 season after an injury-laden 2017/2018 campaign.
