For the first time, the Kenyan superstar footballers, Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama and his elder brother MacDonald Mariga have opened up on their marriage plans.
They did this during an interview with media personality Jeff Koinange on Wednesday Night on Citizen Tv.
While Mariga is playing in Spain, at second-tier club Real Oviedo, Wanyama is selling his talent with English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
Jeff could not escape asking the famous question on engagement and the duo decided to take it on.
“I think that is a difficult question. For me, I decided that career comes first and marriage follows later on,” said Mariga when asked when he will be getting married.
Wanyama shared similar sentiments with his brother. “I am of the opinion that when the right time comes, everything will fall into place," said Wanyama.
The two have successfully kept their lives private despite being on the limelight as far as football is concerned.
However, the Harambee stars captain has been linked with singer Victoria Kimani, and reports indicate that he is dating a media-shy London based lady of African origin.
On the other hand, Mariga dated and split with Rwandan beauty Ariane Umutoni a while back. He is also known to have fathered a daughter with an Italian based lady of Senegalese origin who is based in Parma.
Wanyama performed exemplary the last English Premier League season helping his team to finish third in the hotly contested league that saw Manchester City crowned winners.
