Kenyan Victor Wanyama expressed gratitude to Tottenham Hotspur fans for edging them on in their 3-2 win over Everton on Sunday evening.
Perennial scorer Harry Kane netted two goals with Dele Alli completing the Spurs goal scoring mission at the Lane. Romelo Lukaku and Enner Valencia scored for the resilient everton Everton.
“Important win today,thanks fans for the amazing support as always,” wrote Wanyama on Twitter.
After the victory, Tottenham are second on the log, some seven points behind leaders Chelsea.
Wanyama joined the Spurs in June last year from another English Premiership side Southampton, on the invitation of current coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Before his St. Mary’s stint, Wanyama played for Scottish Champions Celtic and Belgian Pro-league side Germinal Beerschot.
Earlier in his career, Wanyama played for Kenyan Premiership side AFC Leopards and Nairobi City Stars as well as the JMJ Academy.
