Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and Kenya national team Captain Victor Wanyama has held a meeting with National Super Alliance (NASA)leader Raila Odinga.
The Tuesday meeting occurred at Raila's Capitol Hill offices in Nairobi.
Wanyama is in Kenya for the English Premier League (EPL) off-season. He held discussions with Raila on the state of football in the country.
The Harambee Stars skipper gifted Raila a signed Tottenham jersey.
Raila said that he appealed to Wanyama to mentor young talented Kenyan footballers who aspire to play at the highest level.
"@VictorWanyama of @SpursOfficial called on me at Capitol Hill Sq. I urged him to mentor other young Kenyans to follow his footsteps and lift the standards of football in the country," he wrote on Twitter
Wanyama has been involved in several projects since returning from England including football clinics, community tournaments and charity missions.
