Deputy President William Ruto has revealed that the security of the country is still a major threat and the dormancy of the Al Shabaab militia is a way to plan a new attacking plan.
He said that Kenyans should still be on the lookout, since the fight against terror attack is a long process that needs individuals as Kenyans to be more vigilant as always.
“Let us be still vigilant because the war is still on and the Al Shabaab might be planning a new way to attack us in the least expected time,” said Ruto
The DP said that the government of Kenya has been more vigilant on the Kenyan boarders, and according to him, it is not enough because the win for the Kenyans does not mean we start to celebrate thinking we have already conquered the war.
Ruto, who was speaking on Friday in Thika town when he officially opened the new Thika Girls School expressed his concern over the differences that have led to the death of many kenyans, citing the recent murder attack of Kabete MP George Muchai.
“Will we fight against terror attack or we will fight our brothers who kill our own in the nation, let us embrace peace, love and unity on the country,” said DP
He said that Kenyans are on the lookout against terror attack, and not brothers to fight against brothers in the country, adding that we are Kenyans and should embrace peace, unity.
He however expressed his happiness with the new passed security bill, saying it must been the result of the bit of peace in the country since it has tightened the security in the country.
The deputy president has called on Kenyans to be their own security to fight the terror attacks since as time goes by, we are winning against the militia in the nation.
