A nominated Ward Representative at the Uasin Gishu County Assembly has revealed plans to table a bill that if passed will see the formation of a County Sports and Talent Board.Samora Machel who was nominated to represent the minority group at the county assembly said this will help in tapping, nurturing and sponsoring talents among the youths."I want our youths to earn from their sweat and stop depending on white collar jobs which are scarce. If the bill goes through, the board will be mandated to identify and nurture talents," Samora said in Eldoret town, Saturday."People such as Victor Wanyama, Silas Yego among others are earning a lot of money not because they are professors but because of their talents. Through nurturing talents, cases of joblessness among the youths will be a thing of the past, lets not only depend on education," he added. The youthful MCA further challenged the youth to exploit their talents such as music, athletics, football among others to earn a living instead of waiting to be employed."You do not have to be employed by the government to make it in life, what one needs is to maximize on the talent and always put God first and ensure that you use your sweat and not drugs," he noted.
