A Kisii County MCA affiliated to NASA has been accused of diverting job opportunities and development projects in his ward.
Bomariba Ward MCA Protus Moindi is said to have been selling job opportunities meant for his ward whenever they arise.
"We have suffered under the leadership of Moindi because big posts at the county government have been sold by him to other wards. It is a shame and a regret we elected someone because of a party, ODM," said Evans Machoni.
Machoni claimed that the MCA is only interested in awarding tenders to his close friends from far areas instead of giving priority to locals who have skills.
"Bomariba has ragged behind with poor development in the region. Tenders have been awarded to his close allies and relatives from neighbouring wards instead of him giving the tenders to Bomariba residents who are capable of doing the tenders," he said.
Geoffrey Kirera stated that upgrade of feeder roads in Miranga and Boroko villages has not been done yet funds were allocated in the 2016/2017 financial year.
"Feeder roads in Miranga and Boroko are yet to be worked on because Moindi diverted the money meant to open up the roads to build roads in his home sub location Keboye. This is unacceptable and we will call a public gathering to discuss the matter before we chat the way forward," said Kirera.
