This implies that the South African broadcaster will not return in the Kenyan market.
Despite ongoing efforts by Football Kenya Federation president Nick Mwendwa to broker a deal, Wario has called on “other players” in the market to come in and fill the gap left by SuperSport.
“I don’t think there is any chance of them (Supersport) coming back,” Wario is quoted by NairobiNews.
“They (Supersport) spoke to me before leaving and explained their decision to quit was majorly influenced by poor working conditions caused by a breakdown in relationship with the Kenyan Premier League Limited. We can now only thank them for their role in developing Kenyan sports and I am optimistic of there are other players who will come on board," he added.
The South African Pay-TV broadcaster had two weeks ago withdrawn their services with KPL citing a breach of licence agreement.
