The renowned lawyer and socio-political commentator strongly rebuffed the speculation, saying that the amounts said to have exchanged hands were very high and traceable.

He called such speculations dangerous.

''The 35 billion shillings said to have been given to Raila how was it paid. That amount is very high and can be traced very easily. It would be easy to know paid the money. That is very dangerous talk,'' a livid Otiende said.

He contended the deal between Uhuru and Raila was aimed at defusing the tensions in the country and allow the country to move forward.

The lawmaker was speaking today on a mainstream television programme.
