Mumias East MP Ben Washiali is a wishful thinker whose thoughts are not welcome in the Amani National Congress (ANC) party.

This is according to ANC secretary general Godfrey Osotsi.

Terming the MP a null idealist, Osotsi strongly dismissed Washiali's idea that ANC and Jubilee would work together after the elections.

Osotsi said the parties can never be compatible and are “like water and oil”.

He accused the MP of trying to use Amani to make Jubilee relevant in western, a region that has been termed a NASA stronghold.

“As ANC, we’re the founders of NASA and therefore a key stakeholder in the alliance. Washiali should stop day-dreaming that ANC can imagine of working with Jubilee. Let them eat Jubilee money and leave Luhyas alone,” he said as quoted by the Star.

This comes after Washiali last week reached out to elected ANC candidates to work with the President
