Kiambu Governor Mr William Kabogo has revelled the plans to have kiambu residents managing their water in a diligent way by officiating the ground breaking ceremony for Thika Kang’oki Semi- Aerobic Sanitary Landfill today morning

Speaking during the ground breaking ceremony of the project funded by the kiambu county government and the sweedish government the governor expressed his gratitute to the swedish government for funding such a crusual project to the residents

He said that some of the leaders would not have opted to fund a waste managedment project simply because they think its not a prioority but said its a great concern to be addressed in kiambu county

 The governor said that kenya and most african states have very much drowned in politics and  forgotten the basic needs of human kind like waste management

“Many african states and leaders have fallen into the trap of politics and forgotten the basic huuman needs like waste management .” the governor said

The governor also revealled that the project is as a result of the cooperation of the county goverrnment saying that the technology to be implemwented will be from japan

“ The implementation of this project is through a partnership with UN- Habitat where the Technology is from Fukuoka Japan and funded by my government and the Government of Sweden.” Kabogo added

He said that his government is commited to see that everyonee lives in a  conducive environment where one can live healthy without any disturbance and also have the best wate managenment strategy for the whole country
