Bandari FC wasted an opportunity to move level on points with league leaders Gor Mahia after squandering goal-scoring opportunities to settle for a barren draw against Posta Rangers in a KPL match played on Saturday at the Thika Municipality Stadium. The Dockers went into the match as favourites and if their dominant display during the opening minutes of the game is anything to go by, then the Paul Nkata-coached side are on course for a second consecutive win of the season.Within the opening six minutes of the match, Bandari had two free-kicks which Noah Abich could not convert into goals and three minutes later, the mailmen registered their first corner but it was not enough to breach their dockers' back line.As the clock ticked, Enoch Agwanda and Musa Mudde combined together in a swift counterattack but Mudde's effort that could have broken the deadlock went directly into the hands of Patrick Matasi even as the match went into the break.Upon resumption, each side was unwilling to commit forward with the match descending into a scrappy duel.Despite the many changes that each side made during the boring second half, none of the substitutes could record his name on the score sheet with the match ending 0-0.The draw saw each side increase their tally to four points with Bandari sitting fifth on the log as Posta Rangers lie sixth.
