Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro has told Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho to show respect to President Uhuru Kenyatta during his tour of the county.
Addressing journalists on Monday, Mung'aro told Joho not to embarrass the Coastal residents by mocking the President like he did the last time Uhuru visited the region, adding that the governor must 'watch his mouth'.
Joho publicly blasted President Uhuru in January for visiting Mombasa without his knowledge.
"The governor must respect the president. He must watch his mouth and not cause drama,” said Mung'aro.
On his part, Joho said he will not be afraid to tell the president the truth.
"I will speak my mind in front of the president if I feel like. The Constitution guarantees freedom of speech," said Joho over the weekend, as quoted by a local daily.
