Residents in Nakuru West sub-county have raised concern over persistent water shortage in the area.
Speaking Wednesday, the residents lamented that for close to a week now they've had to do with dry taps and pleaded with the local water supplier Nakuru Water and Sanitation Services (NAWASSCO) to address the issue.
"It is now a week and we are yet to get regular supply of water. We really don't know what is happening," said Tom Juma.
His sentiments were echoed by Monica Njeri who said they have to contend with buying the vital commodity from vendors.
"We have been forced to buy water from vendors who have since hiked the cost to Sh40 for a 20 litre jerry can,"she said.
The most hit areas include Kenlands, Langalanga and Rhonda.
However, NAWASSCO officials could not be reached for comments as their calls went unanswered.
