Confirming the restoration, Naruwasco managing director Reuben Korir said that the interference was caused by a technical problem at the Molo water pump.

Speaking to journalists in Nakuru town, Korir urged residents to use the water wisely.

He noted that most residents in the county are experiencing acute water shortage due to increasing population.

“We have an acute shortage of water, this is a perennial problem and will be solved in investing heavily in this sector. Use water wisely,” said Korir.

He added, “The county government has given the company several bowsers to supply water in areas where access of water is difficult.”

At the same time, Naruwasco Board Chairman Gichuki Kenda has said he has held consultations with the state-owned Geothermal Development Company (GDC) to drill boreholes in the region to address the biting water shortages.
