The Waterfront Karen which is set to open its doors in January 2018 is set to be the home of a second Game supermarket.

According to Waterfront Development Manager Freda Rutere the company’s expansion in Kenya is a sign of their confidence in the retail sector.

“The Waterfront Karen offers over 200,000 square feet of retail galleries and restaurants, centred around 50 acres of trails and parkland, outdoor amenities and lakeside activities which will keep the entire family entertained and allow you to reconnect with nature within minutes of your doorstep. The Waterfront promises to be the go-to lifestyle and wellness destination in East Africa, offering an unforgettable experience to everyone, every time,” she said.

According to reports, the South African retailer is set to replace a financially struggling Nakumatt supermarket as an anchor tenant.

This takes the Game’s total number of outlets in Kenya to two with their first being located at the Garden City Mall along Thika superhighway.
