Machakos gubernatorial aspirant Wavinya Ndeti has criticized President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto for discrediting NASA’s promise of free secondary education by September.
She was responding to President Kenyatta who said that the promise was unrealistic if you consider time constrains.
Kenyattta said it was only possible in January as Jubilee has pledged. Speaking during a NASA rally in Machakos, Wavinya assured opposition supporters that the free education will be realized as stated by flag bearer, Raila Odinga.
“Uhuru and Ruto have no vision for this country. Everything they are doing was started former President Mwai Kibaki and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. That is what they are using to campaign,” Wavinya said as reported by the Star.
Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant on an ODM ticket Dr. Evans Kidero supported Wavinya’s stand. He dismissed the belief that Nairobi is a swing vote region where opposition and Jubilee will share spoils in August. Kidero claimed that 60% of Nairobi residents are NASA supporters thus Jubilee will be defeated.
“We are calling upon the people of Machakos to come out in large numbers and send Jubilee home on August 8 because they have proven themselves incapable,” Governor Kidero said as quoted by the paper.
