Machakos Governor hopeful Wavinya Ndeti has dismissed the latest opinion poll by TIFA Research Limited which indicates that she will lose to incumbent Alfred Mutua, if elections were held today.
According to the pollster, Mutua who is defending his seat on Maendeleo Chap Chap Party ticket, would win the contest by garnering 59 per cent of the votes against Ndeti's 35 per cent with Bernard Kiala coming distant third with just 7 per cent of the votes.
Bernard Kiala has since withdrawn from the race and is backing the Wiper Party candidate, Wavinya Ndeti to make the contest to be a two-horse race.
However, the former Kathiani MP swiftly took to his twitter handle dismissing the poll as "fake" with the Wiper candidate saying that the fact that there are no undecided voters renders the findings null and void.
"35%+7%+59%=101%. No undecided voters indicated. This confirms that the polls are fake. Majority of Machakos voters are behind me," she said in a tweet.
