Former Chama Cha Uzalendo leader Wavinya Ndeti has mocked Machakos County governor Dr Alfred Mutua for having poor priorities. The currently Wiper member laughed off Mutua’s decision to decorate roads with flowers when Machakos residents suffer from serious issues like poverty and water shortage.
“He has done very well in planting flowers on the roads, set up the people’s park which was not a priority. The stadium was built but the youths have to pay to attend events yet they unemployed,” Ndeti said.
Ndeti also pointed out that there are billions of public money allocated for water provision in the county but little has been realized in the four years the Maendeleo Chap Chap leader has ruled Machakos. She praised some of the boreholes dug under Mutua’s rein but lamented at the slow rate expansion rate and poor distribution.
“Maruba dam had 98 million paid within few days. There is 2 billion annually but what has he done for the 8 billion he has received?” She asked.
She dared her competitors to invest money in what they say. She promised to fulfill all her pledges if elected.
“People have never put money where their mouth is. I will do that when elected. I will do the KMC dam,” Wavinya said.
