Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti has laughed off Governor Alfred Mutua's call for investigations into the alleged NYS Sh10 billion scandal.
Ndeti on her Facebook page few hours after the governor made the calls termed them as hypocritical.
She claimed Mutua has no moral obligations to make such calls since himself had refused to comply with relevant bodies when he was being investigated on mismanagement of public funds.
"My attention has been drawn by Alfred Mutua asking the President to take action against NYS looters. This is laughable and unfortunate," Ndeti posted.
She said Mutua should set an example by stepping aside and allow for full investigation if he is genuine on the fight against graft.
"Mutua has adamantly refused to coperate with investigation bodies, if he's genuinely asking for NYS looters be prosecuted he too should step aside and be investigated for mismanagement of funds. That's if he's decent," Ndeti added.
Ndeti said the governor should swallow his pride and adhere to the NCCK's calls for a one-year amnesty to declare and return embezzled public funds.
"Mutua could also choose an easier way of adhering to the NCCK's calls for one year amnesty to declare and return the embezzled public funds then he can stand and point fingers at others over graft," Ndeti said.
