Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti is the Machakos county Wiper gubernatorial flag-bearer.
Ndeti won the ticket after beating Machakos Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala with a landslide in a repeat poll she garnered 227,947 votes against Kiala's 4,508.
The re-run was ordered by the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal after Kiala complained of irregularities in the first polls where Ndeti won by 299,312 votes against his 4,663 votes.
The fresh results were announced by the Wiper Party County Returning Officer Mr Jacob Mutula on Saturday night.
She was also handed the party's nomination certificate by party officials including the elections board Chairperson Prof Agatha Solitei at Township Muslim Primary School in Machakos.
Ndeti led in all the eight constituencies of Machakos with wide margins while Kiala managed over 1000 votes in Machakos Town constituency only.
Ndeti promised a bigger win against incumbent Governor Alfred Mutua in the August elections.
"Our people are poorer than before. I will make sure nobody will disrespect the people of Machakos again," she said in her acceptance speech.
