Chairperson of Political Parties Liaison Committee in Kenya Wavinya Ndeti has cautioned members of different political parties to respect Parties and Leaders of their respective Parties.
The former Member of Parliament of Kathiani gave a stern warning to members who are indiscipline in their parties to exit if they felt discontented threatening to crack the whip on those who did not do the same.
Ndeti was speaking on Wednesday at a funeral service of former politician Mulu Mutisya’s wife in Mwala Constituency, Machakos County.
“If a member elected through a particular party is not respectful to the persons who gave him the platform to be elected then they should willingly exit the party without breaking the party’s constitution or disrespecting their respective Party Leaders,” said Ndeti.
These words were supported by Mavoko Member of Parliament Patrick Makau and Robert Mbui the Member of Parliament for Kathiani who are members of Wiper Democratic Movement Party.
Mbui who is the Wiper organising Secretary cited that the Party was ready to expel members who are disobedient.
“The members elected through Wiper Party should show loyalty and respect to the Party its Leaders. If not then they should leave the position for others who are willing to support the party’s vision,” said Mbui.
All the leaders present during the service reiterate similar speeches citing their support for Kalonzo Musyoka in the 2017 election for the top seat.
