Speaking to journalists  in Machakos town on Monday, Ndeti said the song is mockery to the Kamba community.

Ndeti said the artists must be apprehended and arraigned in court for promoting and encouraging enmity between the Kamba and kikuyu communities.

“It is disrespectful of the highest order and we demand for immediate arrest of those behind the mockery song,” Ndeti said.

The former MP alleged that the song could have been sponsored by politicians to mock the Kamba community.

“The police and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) must do thorough investigations and establish the people behind the disgraceful song,” Ndeti added.

Ndeti said the country is headed in the wrong direction if individuals will be allowed to openly mock and despise other communities because of political reasons.

The Kikuyu song ‘Ikamba’ allegedly authored by one Isaiah and Warahaka has drawn condemnation on social media with Kenyans and leaders demanding for action against the artists.

Makueni senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior is among politicians who have strongly condemned the song.

The Wiper senator has written to NCIC chairman Francis Ole Kaparo demanding for legal action.

In what has been interpreted as mockery, the song starts with the artists eating mangoes from Ukambani.

The artists in the song goes on to ask what the Kamba community will eating once the mango season comes to an end.

The artists then state that the county will feed on dogs once the mango season is over.

The two artists further mocks Kitui governor Charity Ngilu for her ban on charcoal burning by showing footage of a lorry that was allegedly torched down by residents in Kitui three weeks ago.

On Monday, NCIC said that it is reviewing the song even promising action on those behind it.
