Leaders from Wiper Party’s Kalonzo Musyoka backyard have said the NASA co-leader is the best fit to fly the coalition’s flag as president.
Former Water CS Charity Ngilu (Narc), Wavinya Ndeti (CCU), Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana on Tuesday said they were ready to back Kalonzo’s bid for the high office on August 8 via the opposition vehicle.
CCU leader Wavinya Ndeti cautioned that Kalonzo’s bid cannot do without Raila Odinga’s support and that needs them to sweet talk the ODM chief so that he (Raila) would shelf his presidential ambitions in favor of his 2013 running mate.
Ndeti said ODM had more strength in parliament.
On her side, Ngilu who served in Jubilee government as CS for Land in Jubilee government said the best leadership in the country will be witnessed as she works with the former Vice President.
“Nasa principals must agree that there is need to have the best so that the country can move forward," Ngilu said.
Makueni county boss Kivutha Kibwana clarified that they were not supporting Kalonzo based on his Kamba identity but “because he has what it takes to be the president Kenya needs.”
The Wiper party leader has severally urged his counterparts in the opposition force NASA to support his bid for State House.
