In her manifesto, Wavinya Ndeti, a close ally of Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, pledges to address different areas of the economy if given the mandate to take over the leadership of the county. Her main areas of concern are Water, Security and agriculture.
In her speech, the vocal hopeful said that the current leadership has done little to change the lives of the residents. She took a swipe at the incumbent Governor Dr Alfred Mutua for failing to fulfill the promises he made before he was elected into power.
Ndeti also said that her manifesto draws inspiration from that one of the National Super Alliance (NASA) under the leadership of Raila Amolo Odinga, also former prime minister.
“My manifesto is in line with the coalition NASA development agenda for Kenya. It is time to reclaim our county back,” she said.
Wavinya Ndeti defected from Chama Cha Uzalendo to join Wiper upon Kalonzo’s request. The politicians have faced a number of challenges since she declared interest in the seat.
She had to battle in court to have her name cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) after she was accused of belonging to two political parties.
