[Photo|Wavinya Ndeti]Machakos Governor candidate Wavinya Ndeti has accused incumbent Governor Dr Alfred Mutua, of importing people from the neighbouring Makueni county, to attend his swearing-in ceremony.Ndeti who lost to Mutua, in the just concluded August 8th elections, said Machakos residents where not happy with his Mutua's re-election, and were not ready to attend the ceremony, which took place at the Kenyatta Stadium.Addressing the press flanked by her running mate Peter Mathuni as the ceremony was underway, the Wiper Democratic Movement candidate said she was aware that lorries from Makueni ferried hundreds of people to be part of the event, using the taxpayer's money."He has already started misappropriation of the taxpayer's money on day one if office. No Machakos resident is attending the event. He has used lorries to ferry people from Makueni to attend the ceremony," Ndeti said, Thursday.Ndeti reiterated that she was the duly elected governor, but Mutua stole her victory through rigging, and that he should prepare to leave office.She said her lawyers were compiling the required evidence to file a petition at the court, and ensure Mutua is out of office.
