Machakos gubernatorial candidate for last year's August 8 poll Wavinya Ndeti, now claims her silence is a 'retreat' to 'strategize'.
In a tweet, Ndeti who lost the poll to incumbent Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua has said she is a 'lioness' and her supporters should not underrate her.
"I am aware many of our supporters and activists of REAL CHANGE have been wondering why I have been a bit quiet. A good soldier retreats and strategies. Never in life underrate a lioness," Ndeti tweeted.
She had filed a petition challenging Governor Mutua's election win alleging irregularities.
In her case through her lawyer Willis Otieno, she wanted the August election nullified arguing it was not conducted in accordance with the principles of the constitution.
Ndeti who was a Wiper party candidate alleged that Governor Mutua had used county resources including vehicles and funds to campaign for his re-election, breaching election laws.
But Justice Aggrey Muchelule dismissed the case and ruled that the governor was validly elected and the petition lacked merit.
He ordered her to pay Sh10 million in costs to be shared equally between Dr.BMutua and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
