Former Machakos county gubernatorial candidate Wavinya Ndeti on Tuesday resurfaced online several months after she lost her seat to the incumbent Dr. Alfred Mutua.
The Former Kathaini Member of Parliament showed clearly that she was a happy woman after posting several photos. It seems clearly that Wavinya has accepted and she is ready to move on.
She posted the photos and captioned them: “A good life is when you smile often, Dream big, Laugh a lot and realize how much you are blessed. Stay happy.”
Wavinya Ndeti who contested on Wiper ticket in August 2017 poll had moved to court seeking for the nullification of Governor Alfred Mutua’s win over what she termed as illegalities and irregularities.
The politician argued that the outcome of the election did not reflect the will of the people of Machakos. She wanted the election thrown away and another one called. She claimed that the county boss had engaged in different illegalities including voter bribery in a bid to retain his seat.
The court, however, dismissed the case citing lack of sufficient evidence to dismiss Mutua’s win in the August General election. Ndeti is seen as a frontrunner to succeed Mutua upon the end of his second term in office.
