Wiper Democratic Movement - Kenya gubernatorial aspirant, Wavinya Ndeti, has been dealt a major blow.

This is after the Political Parties Dispute Tribunal nullified her win, after she reportedly trounced rival Machakos deputy governor Bernard Kiala, for the area governorship race.

In the primaries held last Sunday, Ndeti garnered 299,312 votes against Kiala's 4,663.

Earler, Kiala had obtained a court order barring Wiper from conducting the primaries, arguing that Wiper and Wavinya's CCU had an agreement to give her a direct ticket, leaving Kiala in the cold.

The Tribunal chairman Kyalo Mbombu said the nullification was reached after the party defied court order, warning them from conducting the primaries.

While issuing the ruling, Friday, Mbombu ordered Wiper, whose leader is Kalonzo Musyoka, to carry hold repeat gubernatorial nominations within 48 hours.

Wiper sees Wavinya, the former CCU party leader, as the best bet to face incumbent Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua, in the August 8, elections.

In a quick rejoinder, Wavinya said she was ready for the primaries. On the other hand, Kiala said he had no trust in the party's election board.
